From all the comics I've researched i want this animation part of my video to be reminiscent of pages from a comic book, by having comic strips that contain the animation.
This was the picture i did in my storyboard and is what i am going to try and reproduce. So first i need to draw pictures of a gun being fired so it can be animated.
as you can see i've created the strip which include the animated gun. i aim to do this 3 times and put them at the top and the bottom so i have gun guns being fired.

Bullseye animated intro
From what i learnt from the gunslinger intro i easily able to create the same zooming out effect for this animated piece.
now to add the text, i didnt want to do just the same as before, wanted something different, simplier infact.
Outcome
now to add the text, i didnt want to do just the same as before, wanted something different, simplier infact.
I placed the text at angles this time.
I then set the text to 3D camera mode so i could make it look like their flying in instead of just sliding in
Outcome
Stylising The Text and adding Bullet Holes
So instead of just having the text come in all at once i wanted them to come quickly letter by letter, much like a gunshot.
Maybe hard to see but to achieve the effect of the one letter at a time i offset the position of the text so each letter is delayed wen coming in, giving the effect of coming in one at a time.
This is the outcome of the effect which i think look really effective
Just to top it off i want to add some bullet holes to the screen
I then added to of these to the animation, just after the text has come into view
I really pleased with this animation, and taking in what i've learnt i will hopefully be able to create the other animation intro much easier.

Adding text
Next i need to add text. i want the text to come into the design and not just be there. Again the use of key frame was the way i achieved this.
Result
looking closer so can see red rectangles just off screen. These are my text boxes. as i didnt want them to appear straight away i moved them where they couldn't be seem. Again i set a key frame and moved my time time along to when i wanted my text to be fully seen.
Having moved timeline, i then moved my text to where i wanted it to be placed, This caused another key frame.
Result
I am happy with the way its worked, however i want the text to appear on screen a bit more stylised so that was my next task.
After Effects- Titles for characters
The first thing i need to do was create a zooming out effect.
I did this by zooming into the image so it large on the screen
This image show the zoomed in image, the purple rectangle shows the true size of the image. I then set a key frame.
i next i moved the timeline on abit i then downsized the image,, notice the purple rectangle is not as big now. Then then set another key frame. The create the zooming out style i wanted. i could toggle with the speed of the zoom by moving the key frames closer or further apart
This is the result
Its simple but effect. But this is just the start, i now need to add text to the video..

Creating my anime character
This show the process of me creating my anime character
started with the face and shoulder outline, and also started with the hair look
Added more definition and also started work on the eyes
Removed the mask layer so i was able to create the eyes much easier
I then reinserted the mask to my design. Furthermore i opened up the jacket so it closely resembled the image of the bullseye kid
Finally i added highlight to the hair so it stood out and to give it a shine
How to draw anime
I thought it would be a good idea to look at how to draw anime character so i can create something that looks good.
The Hair
I really like the strands of hair, they are all highlighted which makes each individual one stand out
Showing how faces could look form different angles
This picture was really helpful as it showed in easy steps how to draw the eyes
These pictures have really helped as reference to me drawing my character
The Hair
The hair is a very important part of the look so I've been looking at examples i really like
With these images i like how they've focused the light on a particular strip of light giving it a shine, making it look more 3d. I like the messy style to the hair, but with each strand it gives it some sort of order and helps define the hair
